Bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese

This decadent appetizer can easily be made in advance and cooked in any size dutch oven.


  • Dried dates, pits removed
  • Blue cheese
  • Bacon, sliced

Slice bacon strips in half. Stuff each date with a healthy scoop of blue cheese, then wrap with a half-slice of bacon and secure with a tooth pick. Bake in a medium temperature dutch oven for about an hour (350 degrees ) until crisp.

For a 12″ Dutch Oven, 350 degrees = 8 coals below and 17 on the lid.
